Our Strength Training for Jiu Jitsu program is designed to enhance the physical capabilities that directly translate to improved performance on the mats.  Being a strong, well-trained athlete will separate you as a competitor from other equally skilled practitioners -- strength matters. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or just beginning your jiu jitsu journey, this program will build the strength, endurance, and mobility needed to improve your jiu jitsu performance and help keep you injury-free.

Key focus areas include:

  • Foundational Strength: You will develop a baseline level of foundational strength, using compound, structurally loaded movements, paying special attention to sport-specific movement patterns. A strong athlete is a dominant athlete.
  • Explosive Power: Develop the ability to generate quick bursts of force essential for takedowns and escapes.
  • Grip Strength: Targeted exercises to improve your grip strength and endurance.
  • Core Stability: Build a rock-solid core to improve balance, posture, and stability in every position.

Classes incorporate barbell training, bodyweight exercises, and sport-specific conditioning. You'll follow a structured program that progresses with your skill level, ensuring you continually build strength while maintaining agility and responsiveness.
